The SweetNight pillows are adjustable pillows that allow the sleeper to reduce the loft to match their ideal body and sleep position. The pillow fill is small rectangular cubed memory foam designed to provide extra head and neck support. As a highly rated and reasonably price pillow, we wanted to test them out. This review will cover the details and experience while sleeping with the Sweetnight Combination and SweetNight bamboo pillow.

With different heads, shoulders, body shapes, and sleep style, it can be challenging to find the perfect pillow. Instead of testing out tons of pillows, your other option is to pick an adjustable pillow. The Sweet Night pillows come with 25% extra filling to work for a variety of sleep styles. Most side sleepers keep the “extra” fill while stomach or back sleepers might prefer to adust it to a lower loft profile.
The process of adjusting the pillow was straightforward and easy. Start by unzipping the outer cover and then the actual pillow. The foam will expand and may burst out the opening. For this reason, we recommend holding the pillow straight up to avoid too much spilling of foam. Start by grabbing foam and removing it from the pillow. When done, zip the foam case and readjust the foam to get it even. Test the pillow again for your personal preferences and readjust as needed. My wife and I ended up not removing any foam from either the Combo of Bamboo pillow.

If you are wondering what CertiPUR-US certified means, we have the answer. CertiPUR-US® program is a foam certification program run by an independent nonprofit, the Alliance for Flexible Polyurethane Foam. To be CertiPUR-US certified, it requires that products are made without ozone depleters; PBDEs, TDCPP or TCEP (“Tris”) flame retardants; without mercury, lead, and other heavy metals; without formaldehyde; and without phthalates regulated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
The pillows arrive in a stylish compact box. Each pillow is wrapped in a plastic bag and vacuum sealed. Upon opening the bag, the pillow does not have much fluff. Take the pillow and massage it to help it start to get air inside. After a minute or two of massaging, leave the pillow to rest for an hour or two until it fully expands.
Based on the high ratings of the Sweet Night Pillows, we were excited to test them out. The pillows did not disappoint. They were supportive, breathable, and cool. The foam didn’t bunch up or get lumpy and felt consistent across the pillow. The thick and soft outer pillow cover provided a separation from cubed memory foam pieces.
The foam was supportive but remained soft. Our heads would sink just enough into the pillow to achieve a nice balance of support and comfort. During our sleep tests, we found that the pillow didn’t go flat or lose its loft. While we didn’t remove any foam, we liked that it was possible. Having an adjustable pillow increases the chances to fine-tune the pillow to your body or sleep style. After more than a few months, there was no distinguishable change in the pillow consistency. There were also minimal adjustments required, such as “fluffing” each night, week, or month to keep the pillow in the preferred shape.
My wife also fell in love with the pillow and hasn’t swapped pillows since we started testing the Sweet Night Pillows. We tried both the Combination and the Bamboo, and they were almost indistinguishable. While there might be some subtle differences, it was nothing we were able to tell.
It is worth noting that other reviews and myself noticed a mild odor from the memory foam. My wife did not smell anything, but I did smell it for a few nights. The smell can be reduced/removed by airing it out for 1-2 days or washing the decorative pillowcase. For most people, it shouldn’t be an issue. If you are highly sensitive to smells for some reason, it doesn’t go away; Sweet Night has an incredible 100-night trial and a customer service team that can help you out.
Memory foam has an off-gassing odor. The odor isn’t limited to Sweet Night Pillows. It is part of making memory foam. While the more pungent smells go away after 1-2 days, a lingering odor might be noticeable for those highly sensitive. Rest assured that Sweet Night Pillows are CertiPUR-US certified, which means the smell is harmless and not from harmful chemicals.
Sweet Night offers a 100-Day-Return Policy. To return or exchange a pillow reach out to Sweet Night Pillows.
Outer Pillow Case: Removable and machine washable outer cover. Hand wash when possible to increase the lifespan, but it is not required.
Sweet Night Pillows are perfect for anyone looking for an adjustable pillow that supports the neck and head. We loved that the small pieces of foam kept the pillow consistent across the entire pillow, and it didn’t require nightly fluffing. The price of the Sweet Night Pillows is just right. They are a luxury memory foam pillow priced very reasonably. With a 100 day trial period, it is worth trying out Sweet Night Pillows if you are looking for your next long term pillow that will bring in healthy sleep.
